Host and Creator Terms

These Host and Creator Terms apply if you create or co-host an event, sell HangIn tickets, or use the Creator plan. A solicitor-reviewed agreement will replace this notice when it is ready.

You are the organiser. Describe the event honestly, have the right to use the venue and photos, and hold any licences the law requires. Co-hosts share organiser duties; the creating host remains responsible. HangIn is not your employer or joint event organiser.

When you sell HangIn tickets, attendees pay HangIn through Stripe. HangIn charges your ticket price plus a 10% platform fee. You must honour the refund policy you set. If you cancel the event, attendees receive the full amount including the platform fee. Do not check people in solely to block refunds. Do not oversell capacity. HangIn does not currently offer official resale or ticket transfer.

If you cannot run the event as advertised, cancel it in HangIn so refunds can run. Changing the listing’s time without cancelling does not by itself refund buyers. You run the door (ID, age, venue rules) and must hold licences the law requires. You remain responsible if Stripe reverses a payout after a refund or chargeback.

Paid HangIn tickets require Stripe Connect (UK bank). You also agree to Stripe’s Connected Account Agreement when you open a Connect account. Ticket proceeds are held until 3 days after the event ends (first 3 paid events: 7 days, cap 40 tickets or £500). Balances of £100+ pay automatically on the 1st once a payout method is saved. Early withdrawal minimum £10 with a £2 fee. A scam or fraud report can freeze that event’s payout.

Creator is a paid Apple or Google plan with creator tools and boost credit. It is not identity verification. A Basic or Business account may still be able to sell HangIn tickets; these terms apply whenever you host or sell.
