The HangIn iOS and Android app does not use HTTP cookies the way a website does. The app uses device accounts, permissions you choose, and SDKs described in the Privacy Policy (including Crashlytics for crash reports).
Essential on hangin.app: cookies that keep you signed in on private pages, and remembering your Accept Optional or Reject Optional choice in this browser.
Optional on hangin.app: cookies that help us see if the site is working — how busy pages are, and whether they feel slow. Those load only after you tap Accept Optional. If you tap Reject Optional, or you have not chosen yet, they do not load. HangIn does not use advertising cookies and does not sell your information for ads.
